Should New Builds Have a Home Inspection?

Should New Builds Have a Home Inspection?

We are living in a time of shortages. There is a shortage of building materials and a shortage of trades people.

These shortages lead to increasing prices and longer construction times.

What is also happening is that substitute materials are replacing the specified materials on the building plan.

Some replacement materials may be fine but others may be inferior and cause quality issues.

The shortage of tradespeople can lead to poor workmanship when less skilled workers are used.

Again this can lead to quality issues. In some cases lack of knowledge by unskilled workers can even cause dangerous situations.

Not just builders but also electricians, plumbers, gibstoppers, painters and other trades are in short supply.

With a newly built home costing $100,000’s it makes sense to have a home inspection, costing a few hundred dollars.

A report from A Buyer’s Choice Home Inspections could save you thousands of dollars by detecting poor quality work or unsuitable
materials.
